Student Tutoring Agreement

1) Parent will remain within earshot of student, to help with any issues. At the tutor’s discretion, parent may have to remain beside the student to facilitate with attention and participation.

2) Parent will provide a quiet workspace with a cleared work area big enough for the student’s device and a writing area directly in front of the student. Lesson space should be free of distractions like other children, pets, etc.

3) Tutor must be able to see the student’s work. Parent will provide either a laptop so that the student can adjust the camera to show the writing area (fold down the lid part way), or a separate camera set up on the writing area.

4) Parent will provide reasonable internet capable of Zoom meetings.

5) Parent will keep tutoring supplies organized in a separate container. The student should only use these supplies for tutoring sessions. Parent will ensure that whiteboard markers and writing implements work.

6) Parent will print out materials emailed by the tutor, and place them in the sections of a designated tutoring binder in advance of the lesson. Tutor will provide direction on organizing the binder.

7) Parent will provide:

• Whiteboard, markers and eraser/cloth

• Highlighters

• Sticky Notes

• 1 ½” 3-ring binder and Dividers

• Replenish initial materials as needed

8) Lessons are 45 minutes long, @ $55. If student does not log on within first 15 minutes of scheduled lesson time, tutor will end lesson and family will be billed for entire lesson. Lessons will end at scheduled end time, regardless of student’s tardiness.

9) There is a $10 fee for initial materials provided by the tutor, which will be included in the first invoice.

10) Families will be billed biweekly. Payment is due within 7 days. Payment can be sent via Paypal.

*Cancellation policy: Cancellations within 24 hours of lesson start time will be billed in full. Emergencies occur, and children wake up with fevers, etc. Short-notice cancellations are at tutor's discretion regarding billing, and emergencies will be taken into consideration.
